This programme is useful for business executives and other professionals who are in, or aspire to, senior or leadership positions.

It is well known that leadership goes hand in hand with effective communication skills. Leaders do not necessarily know more than their followers, but they can usually convey what they do know much more effectively than their followers. This programme addresses the needs of potential leaders.

To undertake this programme, you are expected to be comfortable in the English language, although “public speaking” is not language- specific.

Our objective is to enable you to speak to any public and to address any audience confidently and effectively. “Audience” here can mean your seniors, peers or juniors, in a work situation or a university or a professional institution. The audience may be just one person or may fill an entire auditorium.

We help you to stand alone in front of your audience, look them in the eyes and speak to them without fear or hesitation, while keeping them interested and achieving your objective of persuading or informing or entertaining them.

Please note that this is NOT an English language course. We do not aim at increasing your vocabulary or correcting your pronunciation, although some improvement in these areas inevitably occurs.

We do not cover:
Grammar, syntax or accent neutralization. Don’t forget – this is not an English-teaching programme.

It’s a unique method we’ve painstakingly developed over the years. To begin with, the emphasis of the entire programme is on sharpening your thinking skills. We believe that effective public speaking is based not on your language skills but on your ability to think- to think rationally “on your feet”- while never losing sight of audience or your objective.

Every day and in every class, almost every participant speaks to the audience at least once. No wonder facing the audience becomes a matter of habit.

For the same reason, almost throughout the programme, no writing is permitted. Every participant learns to listen, discuss, question and assimilate, before speaking in public.

Well before the end of the programme - in fact in just three or four classes perhaps - you will become conscious about gauging the audience, selecting the most appropriate content for them, quickly arriving at the essence of what you want to say, and saying it effectively and interestingly. You will have no hesitation in facing an audience, even of your seniors, and you will able to speak with a minimum of notes.

Our programmes have helped the shiest, quietest and most diffident students to gain confidence and speak better to their audiences. In fact, most students find that their personality changes substantially. You enhance your leadership skills and you quickly find that, rather than ignoring you, people actually begin to seek out your views on any subject being discussed.


	Our programmes are special and original, the creative application of our wide experience in international business communications as well as in theatre. We can say without doubt that there is nothing comparable being offered in the market. Here are some special features:
•	Our programmes change you from the INSIDE, not through superficial comments like "Stand this way" or "Smile", as the rest of the market door. We train your MIND to think sharply and logically – on your feet. This gives you true inner confidence and enhances your personality enormously.
•	We have small classes – 12-25 only – so that you get individual attention, while also interacting with a reasonable-sized group. Every class is lively and highly interactive.
•	We put "mind-frames" in to you, so that any time anywhere you have to speak, your mind follows those mind-frames without hesitation – and you are NEVER at a loss. This has a PERMANENT and DEEP effect on your mind. There is nothing superficial about our programme.
•	EVERY day and in EVERY class, almost EVERY participant speaks from the "stage"- once, twice or even ten times. And all this with NO writing permitted through most of the programme!
•	Before you join the class, we put you through a 25-minute Assessment – partly to ensure that you will indeed benefit from the programme and partly to ensure that the students in each class are approximately at the same starting level. Thus we ensure that ALL participants gain.

Anywhere from 12 to 25 participants. We will screen participants to ensure that all start at approximate equal levels of competence in the English language.

For a group of about 15 participants,the programme will be spread over 9 half-days, comprising 7 working half-days and 2 breaks in between.

For a group of about 25 participants, the programme will be spread over 7 full days, with two half-day breaks and one full-day break in between

Faculty
What background and experience do the faculty have?

The core faculty member is Mr. Kurien Joseph, Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. He is a senior business executive and trainer, who graduated from IIT Kharagpur, and did his post graduation, first in Mass Communication and then in Marketing Management.
